Terms of service.
1. Platform & Hosting
All websites are designed and hosted on Squarespace. Clients are also bound by Squarespace’s own terms of service and privacy policy.
2. Design & Development
The design scope will be discussed and agreed upon before the project begins. Additional revisions or work outside of the original agreement will incur an extra fee (see Section 4).
3. Ongoing Maintenance & Management
Ongoing website maintenance is available at a monthly or hourly fee, as needed. This includes updates, light edits, and general upkeep. As long as you are enrolled and current on payments, I will manage your website accordingly.
If you choose to discontinue service—or if I choose to transfer the site back to you—full responsibility for website upkeep, edits, and security will be yours moving forward.
4. Revisions & Hourly Work
Design revisions, content updates, and any other service requests made after project completion or outside of a maintenance agreement are billed at an hourly rate.
My current hourly rate is $75 per hour, billed in 30-minute increments.
This rate is subject to review and may change year over year.
You will be notified in advance of any rate changes.
Larger changes or redesigns will require a new scope of work and quote.
5. Payment Terms
All invoices must be paid in full before a site goes live or services are rendered. Ongoing service or maintenance fees must be paid on time to avoid disruption.
Late or missed payments may result in paused services or additional late fees.
6. Cancellation & Handoff
You may cancel ongoing maintenance at any time with written email notice. No refunds will be provided.
If I discontinue management services, I will transfer administrative access to you and provide instructions to take over your Squarespace site. I am not responsible for issues or payments that arise after the handoff.
7. Intellectual Property
Once full payment has been received, the final website and content are yours to use. I retain the right to display the project in my portfolio unless requested otherwise.
8. Limitation of Liability
I am not responsible for Squarespace outages, third-party plugin issues, client error, or cyber incidents outside my control.
9. Modifications to Terms
These Terms may be updated at any time. Clients will be notified of major changes.
10. Squarespace & GoDaddy
Client must purchase a new domain through godaddy or provide their domain information to me to transfer name server to Squarespace. Clients must use their own business or personal credit card (which will be on file within Squarespace) for automatic annual hosting payment. This is a transaction between Squarespace and client.
